About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Advisor – Indigenous Identified. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office.
  
About the Position
This role will support the design, development and implementation of a range of programs and initiatives to continue our commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture . This includes but is not limited to focus areas such as First Nations inclusion, gender equity, cultural diversity, LGBTQI+ inclusion, people with disability and/or people who are neurodivergent.

Duties

  • Support the diversity, equity and inclusion team
  • Support activities within the Reconciliation Committee and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council, their Chairs and Working Groups
  • Develop and deliver awareness communications and events, including training
  • Support with onboarding activities with external suppliers and internal teams
  • Support with and contribute to the design, development and implementation of a range of programs
  • Provide support on key initiatives for the Innovate – Reconciliation Action Plan

Requirements/Skills

  • Diploma in Human Resources or related field and/or
  • Experience in a specialist Diversity, Equity and Inclusion role or extensive experience in a generalist HR or similar role with involvement in the delivery of Diversity & Inclusion related projects and initiatives
  • Experience working in Human Resources
  • Experience in designing, developing and delivering innovative employee engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in working in and influencing cross functional teams
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures and societies.
