About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 Procurement Support Officer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until 30 June 2025 with possible extensions. 
  
About the Position
The Labour Hire Procurement Support Officer works within the Talent Strategy and Workforce Management Team, alongside the Labour Hire Procurement Lead to assist in the successful delivery of labour hire procurements being undertaken by the Enterprise Transformation Group. The Labour Hire Procurement Support Officer reports to and assists the Procurement Lead.

Duties

  • Draft procedural, governance and procurement documentation
  • Perform quality assurance on procedural and procurement documents
  • Coordinate and facilitate procurement related meetings and workshops
  • Coordinate and administer procurement related correspondence
  • Develop and administer procurement and contract risk assessments
  • Develop and administer contract management plans
  • General contract management responsibilities
  • Provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract management
  • Communicate using professional judgement, evaluating risks in the context of a complex and changing environment 

Requirements/Skills

  • Baseline Security Clearance (must be an Australian Citizen to acquire)
  • Police Check
  • Working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex end-to-end procurement approaches
  • Demonstrated experience drafting complex procurement documentation
  • Draft commercial arrangements
  • Demonstrated experience successfully administering contracts
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering positive results
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated personal drive and integrity
  • Results driven while remaining within budget and requirements
  • (Desirable) Relevant qualifications and/or industry certification. E.g., Diploma of Government and/or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or equivalent.
