About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 Program Support Officer/Policy Officer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract from 05/08/2024 until 30/06/25 with possible extensions available. 

About the Position
This position entails providing support and contributing to the management of a critical health-focused program review, with the aim of optimising its success.

Duties

  • Project management for a review of a key Health Program
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Secretariat support
  • Preparing a range of written materials, including briefings, correspondence, reviews and reports, presentations, and minutes.
  • Assist with the administration of a number of SharePoint sites
  • Monitor key mailboxes, coordinating and allocating work from incoming correspondence drafting and managing responses to internal and external stakeholder enquiries.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Requirements/Skills

  • Baseline security clearance (must be an Australian citizen to acquire)
  • Effective project and program management skills.
  • Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships
  • Strategic and innovative thinking,
  • Ability to problem solve and be collaborative.
  • Good attention to detail.
