Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Private Company to engage an Pro-Bono Executive Assistant. This position is located in their busy Sydney office for an initial Permanent/Full time contract.
About the Position
We are seeking an outstanding and experienced Legal Executive Assistant to support our busy and fast paced Pro Bono and Corporate Social Responsibility team. This role would be a great opportunity if you enjoy responsibility, and you are looking to broaden your skills and experience. 

The role will see you providing support across a wide range of pro bono and corporate social responsibility activities as well as providing general EA support to the team.


  • Diary and email management for the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Pro Bono Lawyers, including arranging and booking meetings and travel and handling calls. 
  • Creating and formatting documents, preparing correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations, briefing notes and filing.
  • Preparation of periodical reports on the practice.
  • Opening and closing files, conducting conflict searches and new client searches
  • scanning, photocopying and transcribing as required.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that effective EA support is maintained.
  • Taking referral phone calls and emails from clients requesting assistance with the management of pro bono matters and opening pro bono matters for the firm. 
  • Organising our regular outreach Wills clinics which are conducted in rural, regional and remote areas, assisting with preparation, tracking and following up progression and assisting the Pro Bono Coordinator.
  • Coordinating and managing group related events with external and internal stakeholders including room bookings, catering, calendar invitations, and liaising.
  • Coordinating volunteers for our CSR programs and ensuring mentors have met relevant requirements including working with children checks where relevant.

As an experienced Legal Executive Assistant with a strong legal administrative background, you will also be/have:

  • 2+ years’ minimum experience working in an EA/PA support role (legal experience is a pre-requisite)
  • Empathy and an awareness of social justice issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A flexible, positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude for all tasks both simple and complex
  • The ability to prioritise and take responsibility for work
  • The ability to work well under pressure, resilience and to work autonomously
  • A client service approach
  • Strong organisational skills whilst working to deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
