About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Global Mining Company to engage a Business Intelligence Developer. This position is located in their busy Brisbane or Perth office for an initial contract from 22/07/2024 to 21/01/2025 with strong likelihood of extensions. 
About the Position
This role involves investigating operational requirements, managing data, and developing asset data models to inform program KPIs and reporting. The candidate will work with stakeholders, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support program management. They will also contribute to ad-hoc tasks, facilitate workshops, and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders. 


  • Investigate operational requirements and seek business solutions.
  • Identify potential benefits and define acceptance tests.
  • Manage data to inform program KPI and monthly reporting.
  • Provide business-level data analysis and reporting functions for ITAMP.
  • Develop asset data model to support cost estimates.
  • Build and maintain reporting in Excel and PowerBI (SQL / DAX)
  • Triage and troubleshoot problems in the reporting.
  • Support program management to plan and complete activities.
  • Lead design of dashboards and analytical tools.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain the ITAMP program asset level KPI reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ITAM end-of-service-life asset reporting.
  • Manage and monitor asset files.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business analytical role, preferably in a complex program/project environment.
  • Experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of analysis techniques, including process modelling, facilitation, gap analysis and data analysis.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Strong project management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in complex global organisational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Customer focus and strong understanding of business context.
  • Experience in data analysis, data modelling.
  • Direct communication skills – build effective working relationships.
  • Operate as a HSE focused team leader.
