About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Specialist Training/ Functional Trainer. This position is located in their busy ACT office for an initial contract until September 2025.
  
About the Position
We require a specialist to design, develop, and deliver security training. The Security Division provides crucial security advice and support both domestically and overseas. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety of personnel and their dependents abroad, securing diplomatic and consular posts, and safeguarding information in an increasingly risky environment. Emphasis is placed on the security of overseas posts and domestic offices.

Duties

• Deliver presentations and facilitate training.
• Develop innovative, relevant, and culturally sensitive learning solutions.
• Design and develop training materials for various modalities (face-to-face, virtual, eLearning, blended).
• Continually analyze and review training curricula to align with objectives.
• Develop training strategies and produce outcome briefs.
• Identify and address security training and capability gaps.
• Oversee scheduling and prioritize enrolment.
• Interpret and apply security policies and educate others.
• Review and modify training content to address emerging risks and adhere to the security framework.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine training needs.
• Manage administrative support tasks related to training.
• Assist with the development and management of the Security Officer Development Program.
• Deliver innovative approaches to building capability.
• Prepare briefing materials and policy guidance.

Requirements/Skills

• Qualification and/or demonstrated experience in training and assessment
• NV2 required
