Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 and APS6 Project Officer. This position is located in their busy Alice Spring, NT office for an initial 9 month contract until + 9 month extension.
About the Position
The Remote Training Hubs Network is a place-based initiative to be delivered under Phase Two of A Better, Safer Future for Central Australia. Up to seven remote training hubs will be established in Central Australia to deliver on-Country training.
An important part of delivering a project in Central Australia is to have staff located locally to support community engagement and relationship building both with Northern Territory Government partners and First Nations communities and businesses.
Duties
- Support the development, coordination, and delivery of a comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications program to support the Remote Training Hubs project.
- Identify and foster enduring relationships with key stakeholders in agreed Central Australian communities, including Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, local Government and Land Councils, Aboriginal and local businessess and Registered Training Organisations.
- Develop communications and other written products including reports, discussion guides, community briefing packs, narratives, presentations, and other engagement aids to support community consultations .
- Provide advice and guidance to ensure all engagement activities are culturally sensitive, respectful, appropriately address the needs and expectations of First Nations communities.
Desirable Skills
Procurement and grants experience including preparation of procurement documentation and related administration would be an advantage.
