Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Strategic Planner. This position is located in their busy Parramatta NSW office for an initial contract until the 28/02/2025. 
  
About the Position
The Planner will provide strategic and statutory planning advice, review the impact of Government planning policies and housing policy initiatives on property portfolio. 

Duties

  • Provide technical planning services for feasibility, suitability, development options, and anticipated yields for specific sites or projects.
  • Prepare and gain approval for development projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contracted suppliers to ensure project delivery meets briefs, timelines, and expectations in line with local and state government planning policies.
  • Identify and address risks, issues, or enhancements related to planning priorities and third-party development applications.
  • Conduct planning and study reviews, provide planning solutions, and work with consultants, contractors, and providers.
  • Prepare and review planning assessment reports to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and planning policies.
  • Offer advice on managing planning risks and environmental impacts to ensure project alignment with objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.

Requirements/Skills

  • Knowledge of relevant environmental and planning legislation and processes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban/regional planning or related discipline and/or equivalent planning experience.
  • Eligibility for membership of a relevant industry association.
  • The role may involve travel both locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business and/or directed.
