About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an Assessment Planner. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office for an initial contract until 28/02/2025.
  
About the Position
The Planner will provide strategic and statutory planning advice, review the impact of planning policies and housing policy initiatives on the property portfolio, assist in managing consultants as required, and undertake planning approvals. The role requires working in a small team to achieve milestones and team deliverables.

Duties

  • Provide accurate and timely technical planning advice
  • Prepare and/or review planning assessment reports to ensure they comply with planning legislative requirements
  • Assist in the completion of planning and technical study reviews
  • Identifying planning risks and environmental impacts and compliance
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Providing planning information and analysis

Requirements/Skills

  • Knowledge of relevant environmental and planning legislation and processes
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban/regional planning or related discipline and/or equivalent planning experience.
  • Eligibility for membership of a relevant industry association
