About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Project Support Officer. This position is located in their busy Buderim office in the Sunshine Coast for an initial contract until 27/06/2025 / 18-month contract.
About the Position
The Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting various rail and public transport projects by preparing high-level project documentation, managing project activities, and promoting best practices in project management.
Duties
- Research and prepare project documentation.
- Lead or contribute to business unit improvement projects.
- Monitor and report on project budget, schedule, and resource usage.
- Manage project activities and recommend changes.
- Review and analyze project correspondence to identify issues.
- Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Ensure project support activities are in line with guidelines.
- Lead procurement activities to provide efficiencies and responsiveness.
- Assist with the preparation of offer documents for major tenders.
- Arrange recruitment activities and assist with onboarding processes.
- Assist with various HR activities, such as recruitment.
- Assist with performance reviews and background checks.
- Assist with developing Project Proposal Reports and Project Plans.
- Ensure Project Reports and Plans are developed and submitted.
Requirements/Skills
- Experience in preparing high-level project documentation.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to lead and contribute to business improvement projects.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Cleared Police Check (recent within 6 months or organized upon offer).
- Two professional reference checks.
