Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Security Architect. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until 31/12/2025 + 24 month extensions possible. 
  
About the Position
The Security Architects design, review, test and assure the technical environment, solution designs and solution implementations in accordance with current and emerging security best practice. They contribute to the technical architecture and security policies and practices.

Duties
The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for the maintenance of cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets and will take a lead role in the build of the cyber security architecture through consultation with internal ICT teams to secure this architecture. 

Requirements/Skills

• Experience using Sentinel or similar SIEM solution
• In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government ISM
• Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS
• Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration
• Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
