About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Project and Construction Security Manager. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until March 2026.
About the Position
The department is seeking a corporate specialist for an extensive long-term construction project based in Canberra.
Primary responsibilities include establishing and managing governance protocols, asset and logistics management, contributing to the development and implementation of project plans by providing insights and recommendations based on procurement and contract management experience.
Duties
- Provide support and coordinate operational advice in the preparation of procurement activities
- Undertake analysis of suppliers, markets and products to inform procurement planning
- Support the tender processes and technical evaluations
- Delivery of presentations and produce high level written reports
- Ensure projects are delivered, taking direct responsibility for corporate action items, in line with the security management plan
- Prepare project and financial documentation and coordinate extension or close out of contracts
- Risk management and develop construction security policy and procedures
Requirements/Skills
- NV2 Security Clearance prior to starting contract
- Project management and analytical skills
- Contract, procurement and financial management
- An understanding of protective security policies and practices
- Project/construction management background
