Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an Enterprise Cloud Architect. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options available.
  
About the Position
This role sits within a centralised architecture team, supporting a major cloud technology delivery program. You will provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and strategic direction to enhance cloud adoption.

Duties

Enterprise Cloud Architecture

• Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions.
• Ensure cloud strategies align with architecture roadmaps.
• Build strong partnerships across IT programs, internal stakeholders, industry partners, and external agencies.

Cloud Consultancy & Support

• Provide support and guidance to workload teams.
• Support cloud onboarding and optimisation.
• Share best practices to drive cloud adoption.

Requirements/Skills

• Top Secret Positive Vetting Security Clearance (TSPV) mandatory requirement 
•  Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
• 7+ years’ experience in cloud architecture, system design, or software development
• Expertise in cloud migration, security, and compliance
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable Qualifications

• AWS Cloud Certifications.
• Experience with cloud cost optimisation tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
