Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Clinician (Counsellor). This position is located in their busy Townsville or Cairns office for an initial 24 month contract.
About the Position
The APS6 Clinician (Counsellor) role coordinates the delivery of a relationship education program while also providing clinical intake, assessment and a small counselling caseload. The position combines clinical responsibilities with project coordination, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Duties
- Conduct clinical intake assessments
- Assess participant program suitability
- Maintain confidential client records
- Coordinate program delivery activities
- Prepare reports and documentation
Requirements/Skills
- Australian Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance
- Registered mental health clinician
- Relevant counselling qualifications held
- Mental health counselling experience
- Project coordination experience
