Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Mainframe Developer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial 12 month contract with a possible 24 month extension.
About the Position
The Mainframe Developer is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex mainframe applications within a large-scale enterprise environment. Working as part of an Agile delivery team, the role supports the full system lifecycle and contributes to the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions that meet business and operational needs.
Duties
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications
- Collaborate in Agile delivery teams
- Support analysis, design, implementation phases
- Perform testing and incident resolution
- Contribute to release and deployment
Requirements/Skills
- MUST hold a baseline security clearance or higher
- Strong COBOL, CICS, DB2 experience
- Skilled in JCL and MVS
- Experience with Agile development environments
- Understanding of system analysis design
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
