About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a APS6 Clinician. This position is located in their busy Hobart office for an initial 24 month contract .
  
About the Position
Clinicians (APS 6) provide counselling services to personnel, their partners, and families. They apply extensive knowledge and experience gained from a relevant background in psychology, social work, counselling, occupational therapy, or nursing to build rapport with clients, understand their unique experiences and work with them to identify goals that will enhance mental health and wellbeing.

Duties

  • Provide client-centred counselling services
  • Conduct risk assessments regularly
  • Maintain accurate client records
  • Participate in clinical supervision
  • Co-facilitate group programs


Requirements/Skills

  • APS6 or equivalent experience
  • Trauma-informed practice knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Sound judgement under pressure
  • Proficient in IT systems
  • Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Occupational Therapist / Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
  • Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) on commencement, OR
  • A Masters-level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4.
