About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage 7 x APS6 ICT professionals across Software Engineering, .NET Development, CRM Development and Test Automation. These positions are located in their busy Canberra offices for an initial 12 month contract with a possible 24 month extension.
  
APS6 Software Engineer
This APS6 Software Engineer role supports the development and maintenance of secure, scalable .NET and React-based applications within a cloud-first agile environment.

Duties

• Develop and maintain secure .NET (8/10) APIs and backend services
• Build and support React front-end applications
• Implement system integrations across enterprise platforms
• Apply secure coding practices and support CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct peer code reviews and produce technical documentation
• Work collaboratively within agile delivery teams

APS6 .NET Software Engineer (Developer)
This APS6 .NET Developer role delivers secure, cloud-based web applications and APIs while supporting system integration and legacy modernisation initiatives.

Duties

• Develop and maintain Azure-hosted .NET Core applications and REST APIs
• Integrate internal and third-party systems
• Apply secure coding standards aligned with government frameworks
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams

APS6 CRM Developer
This APS6 CRM Developer role is responsible for designing and enhancing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions to support enterprise business processes.

Duties

• Configure and customise Dynamics 365 CRM solutions
• Develop workflows, plugins, and Power Automate flows
• Build integrations between CRM and enterprise systems
• Configure security roles, access controls, and data models
• Support data migration and system configuration activities
• Contribute to agile delivery and technical documentation

APS6 Automation Tester
This APS6 Automation Tester role ensures the quality and reliability of digital systems through structured testing, automation, and validation within an agile delivery environment.

Duties

• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases
• Create test plans and strategies using Azure DevOps
• Log, track, and manage defects through lifecycle tools
• Validate systems against WCAG accessibility standards
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement

Requirements/Skills

• ICT experience in large or complex environments
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Exposure to software, testing, CRM, or cloud technologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
