About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Senior AWS Developer. This position is located in their busy Parramatta NSW office for an initial 6-month contract.
 
Duties

  • Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions on AWS platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design integration solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Build cloud-native REST and HTTP APIs using services such as Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and AWS messaging services – SNS, SQS, EventBridge.
  • Design and develop ETL processes in AWS Glue to migrate data from external sources such as SQL Server, S3, and ORC/Parquet/text files into Aurora/Relational Database.
  • Develop application design around domain models, middleware, data access layers, adapters, and services.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-structured code in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.JS to create custom integrations and data transformations.
  • Write unit and integration tests and perform debugging of solutions to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with testing and other squad teams to ensure the solution meets standards.


Requirements/Skills

  • Present technical designs in team forums.
  • Develop and document technical details in Confluence.
  • Manage technical risks in JIRA.
  • Review and groom JIRA user stories.
  • Obtain Enterprise Architecture approval.
  • Estimate and allocate technical tasks.
  • Plan and support test cases with testers.
  • Execute CI/CD tasks and deployments.
