About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Information Taxonomist. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until June 2025. 
  
About the Position
The Information Taxonomist will be responsible for being the subject matter expert in taxonomy development and implementation of the National Skills Taxonomy. Working with data, project management, research, stakeholder and policy colleagues the role will consist of ensuring best practice methods are used to develop a controlled vocabulary to support the information management and retrieval system of the National Skills Taxonomy.

Requirements/Skills

  • Proficiency in taxonomic standards and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with information architecture and content management systems
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize complex information and data sets
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Can operate well in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable dealing with uncertainty and change
  • Baseline security clearance required.
