About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL2 Senior Project Manager. This position is located in either their Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, SA, WA or NT offices for an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of further lengthy extensions.
About the Position
Reporting to the Director, this role would see you responsible for the implementation of COTS and bespoke applications. You would be working with other IT resources including business analysts, solution architects, solution designers, testers, developers and other resources required.
Duties
- Scoping, planning, implementing and reporting on assigned projects to agreed standards
- Tasking/managing project resources and coordinating with business, service providers and stakeholders to meet project outcomes
- Development of project management documentation, including business cases, project plans and reports, transition plans, schedules, registers, closure reports and post implementation reviews
- Working with stakeholders supporting project procurement activities – workshops, reviews and tenders
Requirements/Skills
- Proven background in monitoring and maintaining financial records for compliance and audit
- Ability to define and communicate the approach for change management and can initiate, plan and lead strategic and complex initiatives
- Superior project management skills with successfully completing complex projects, incorporating change control and risk management
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills in developing and maintaining engagement strategies and plans
