About the Company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Data System Administrator / Data Flow Engineer. This position is located in their Sydney or Canberra office for an initial 12-month contract, with possible extensions available.
About the Position
The Data System Administrator / Data Flow Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure data transfers across networks while ensuring continuous data distribution. This role involves working with stakeholders, system architects, software developers, and data engineers to develop, monitor, and maintain data flows using various technologies.
Duties
- Engineer and manage secure data flows and automated routing between systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Monitor and support secure gateways and data flows.
- Ensure compliance with agreed process standards and industry regulations.
Requirements/Skills
- Must hold a TSPV Clearance (Australian Citizens only).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data flow engineering or system administration.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and monitoring/alerting platforms.
- Experience with system integration, APIs, and automated deployments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based system administration (highly desirable).
- Ability to develop technical documentation and use collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRA.
- Familiarity with Cyber Security, Active Directory, and Certificate Servers is a plus.
