Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Data Analyst/Engineer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until 31 December 2025.
  
About the Position
The role would see you systematically acquire, digitise and load data to databases, and develop and document scalable loading procedures.  These data may be survey data, media/social media sentiment data, media and information environment analysis, messaging analysis or other data.

Duties

• Scope, implement and document database changes as required
• Scope, develop and document Power Bl dashboard tools to visualise and analyse the data and facilitate comparison with other forms of strategic communications and soft-power related data. 

Requirements/Skills

• Demonstrated experience in data curation, data analytics, and database design (or similar)
• Proficiency at all stages of data analytic processes, including but not limited to data collection, ETL, data wrangling/cleaning/visualisation
• Knowledge in analytics and insight-related tools and techniques such as Power Bl, Excel, Python/R, SQL
