Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Lead Cyber Security Analyst. This position is located in their busy ACT office for an initial 6 month contract, with possible extensions available.
  
About the Position
The successful candidate will support the review and enhancement of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Framework, ensuring its resilience against emerging technologies such as quantum computing. The role involves strategic input into digital identity management and secure authentication mechanisms across government systems.

Duties

• Provide expert advice on PKI Framework policies, technical guidelines, and certification criteria.
• Conduct gap analysis against future security requirements.
• Assess quantum computing impacts and guide transition to quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Document findings and propose enhancements aligned with industry standards.
• Collaborate with academia, industry experts, and government stakeholders.

Requirements/Skills

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of PKI standards and cryptography.
• Experience with PKI tools (e.g., Microsoft CA, OpenSSL, HSMs).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in Australian Government environments.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or Post-Quantum Cryptography.
