Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Senior Coordinator – Technology Category Management. This position is located in their busy Brisbane – Inner North office for a 12-month contract until 31 December 2026.
About the Position
The Senior Coordinator – Technology Category Management supports the effective financial and operational management of technology purchasing and category activities within a large, complex public-sector environment.
The role focuses on end-to-end purchasing processes, financial tracking, reporting, and process improvement, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency, compliance, and value across technology spend.
Duties
- Support end-to-end technology purchasing and financial tracking
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and spend reporting
- Raise purchase orders and manage approval documentation
- Prepare clear reports on expenditure, trends, and forecasts
- Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Support supplier, contract, and operational risk management
- Work closely with stakeholders across technology and business teams
Requirements/Skills
- Experience in technology, procurement, finance, or category management roles
- Strong financial management, reporting, and data analysis skills
- Ability to produce clear, value-driven insights from data
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational capability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and digital tools
- Experience in regulated or public-sector environments is desirable
