Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Cleaning Facilities Lead. This position is located in their busy Hunter and Central Coast region office for an initial 6-month contract.
About the Position
The Cleaning Facilities Lead is responsible for managing the operational delivery of cleaning services across multiple school sites within the Hunter and Central Coast region. The role ensures compliance with performance standards, supports contractor management, and contributes to service delivery planning and stakeholder engagement to achieve high-quality cleaning and facilities outcomes.
Duties
- Manage and oversee day-to-day delivery of cleaning services across the region, ensuring compliance with KPIs, WHS obligations, and departmental policies.
- Provide operational input into cleaning programs, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement local monitoring protocols (inspections, audits, spot checks) and escalate issues as required.
- Support emergency response activities (e.g., outbreak cleans, flood/fire recovery cleaning).
- Maintain effective relationships with contractors, school principals, and internal teams for timely issue resolution.
- Provide accurate advice and draft responses to technical briefs and ministerial correspondence.
- Mentor and supervise teams, fostering capability development and a customer-focused culture.
Requirements/Skills
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Drive to various locations if required
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage geographically dispersed operations under tight timeframes.
- Knowledge of WHS obligations and risk management practices.
