Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Complex Case Manager – Clinical. This position is located across various locations nationally within a collaborative and supportive team environment for an initial contract until 31 December 2026.
About the Position
The Complex Case Manager – Clinical supports vulnerable clients through trauma-informed, veteran-centric case management practices. The role involves managing a caseload of complex clients, undertaking risk assessments, coordinating services, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clients access appropriate supports and services.
This position sits within a coordinated client support environment focused on improving wellbeing outcomes and supporting clients with complex psychosocial needs.
Duties
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using a clinical, trauma-informed approach
- Conduct intake, risk and needs assessments
- Coordinate access to health, mental health and external support services
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients navigating government services
- Liaise with internal teams, community providers and external stakeholders
- Escalate high-risk matters and provide specialised advice as required
- Prepare client documentation, reports and case summaries
- Support collaborative case management and contribute to positive client outcomes
Requirements/Skills
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline (e.g. Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or similar)
- Experience supporting clients with complex mental health or psychosocial needs
- Demonstrated case management experience in clinical or human services environments
- Strong risk assessment, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work within structured frameworks and maintain accurate documentation
- Australian Citizenship required
Desirable:
- Experience supporting veterans, defence personnel or similar cohorts
- Knowledge of disability, mental health or trauma-informed practice frameworks
