About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an AS05 Test Analyst. This position is located in their busy Adelaide CBD office for an initial contract until 30 June 2026, with possible extensions available.

About the Position
The Test Analyst will play a key role within a major Finance Reform Program focused on replacing a long‑standing whole‑of‑government financial management system. The role supports testing activities to ensure the successful implementation of a new, contemporary solution across multiple government agencies.

Duties

  • Assist in delivering high‑quality testing of the new financial system configuration and associated business processes.
  • Contribute to the management and execution of test plans across all testing phases, including System Testing, SIT, and UAT.
  • Create, review, and adjust test scenarios and scripts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily testing meetings, defect triage sessions, and produce regular test metric reports.
  • Execute tests, record results, update schedules, and ensure accurate documentation of defects.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with legislative and departmental requirements.
  • Uphold public sector values, including WHS, Equal Opportunity, and ethical standards.

Requirements/Skills

  • General understanding of finance business processes in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of testing methods, techniques, and software application usage.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously under limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation including WHS, Code of Ethics, EEO, and risk management standards.
