Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Video Learning and Communications Manager. This position is located in their busy Canberra-based office for an initial 12‑month contract, with potential extension options.

  
About the Position

This role sits within a central communications and engagement function, supporting a large internal workforce. The Video Learning and Communications Manager is responsible for developing engaging communication strategies and multimedia products that promote learning programs and initiatives to internal and select external audiences. The role combines strategic communications with hands-on video, photography, and digital content production.
 

Duties

  • Plan, design, develop, and deliver communications products across multiple platforms, including intranet, websites, newsletters, social media channels, and learning management systems
  • Draft, edit, and publish written content such as announcements, presentations, and promotional material
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop communications products, branding, and program launches
  • Manage end-to-end video production, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production
  • Produce high-quality photographic content to support learning materials and internal communications
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create engaging digital learning content
  • Ensure all communications and visual products align with organisational branding, accessibility standards, and style guidelines

Requirements/Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, digital content, or multimedia production roles
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end video production and photography
  • Experience working with digital platforms such as websites, intranets, and learning management systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Australian Citizenship 
  • Must have NV1 Security Clearance
