Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 & APS6 Project Finance and Asset Management Officer and an EL1 Project Finance and Asset Management Lead. These three positions are located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until the 31/12/2026 with a possible 6 month extension.
About the APS5 Project Finance & Asset Management Officer
APS5 Set Pay rate: $64.19 per hour + super
The APS5 role supports project finance and asset management activities within a management accounting environment. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial processing, reporting, and maintenance of project and asset records.
Duties
- Maintain project budgets and forecasts
- Process journals and month-end tasks
- Update asset register records accurately
- Support SAP and TM1 reporting
- Assist financial reporting and administration
APS5 Requirements / Skills
- Finance or accounting support experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- SAP or TM1 exposure desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
About the APS6 Project Finance & Asset Management Officer
APS6 Set Pay rate: $74.22 per hour + super
The APS6 role provides specialist support across project finance and asset management functions within a management accounting environment. This role is expected to manage key financial processes, provide analysis, and support reporting and decision-making across projects.
Duties
- Manage project budgets and forecasting
- Prepare financial reports and analysis
- Oversee asset accounting processes end-to-end
- Provide stakeholder financial advice and insights
- Support month-end and reporting cycles
APS6 Requirements / Skills
- Management accounting or finance experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- SAP and TM1 systems knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Experience providing financial advice
About the EL1 Project Finance & Asset Management Lead
EL1 Set Pay rate: $91.73 per hour + super
The EL1 role provides leadership across project finance and asset management functions within a management accounting environment. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
