Environment & Sustainability Policy
Karlka Recruiting Group (KRG) is committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and ensuring sustainable practices across our operations. As an office based, low impact organisation, we recognise that our environmental footprint is minimal, yet we remain committed to continual improvement in line with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and the 2025 Climate Action Amendments.
We achieve this by:
- Compliance with environmental obligations
- We will comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and other requirements relevant to our operations. We will maintain an up-to-date Legal Register and review compliance at planned intervals.
- Understanding our environmental impacts
- We will identify, assess and review our environmental aspects and impacts, including climate-related considerations. As a service-based office organisation, our environmental impact is inherently low; however, we remain committed to reducing our footprint across energy, waste, procurement and travel.
- Climate change awareness and resilience
- We will consider both:
- how our activities contribute to climate-related impacts (e.g., energy use, business travel), and
- how climate change may affect KRG (e.g., extreme weather impacting business continuity).
- We will consider both:
- Pollution prevention and resource efficiency
- We will minimise waste, reduce resource consumption, and prioritise environmentally responsible practices, including:
- digital-first workflows and monitoring printing volumes
- responsible waste and recycling through Landlord / Building Management services
- responsible disposal of e-waste through certified recycling pathways
- efficient energy use and monitoring.
- We will minimise waste, reduce resource consumption, and prioritise environmentally responsible practices, including:
- Lifecycle perspective in decision-making
- We will consider the lifecycle impacts of materials and services we use, including procurement, use, and disposal, and prioritise suppliers who demonstrate environmental responsibility.
- Sustainable procurement
- We will preference environmentally friendly products and services where practicable, including recycled content paper, responsible office supplies, and cloud-based systems that minimise material consumption.
- Staff participation and awareness
- We will involve employees in environmental initiatives, provide communication and awareness about sustainable work practices, and encourage behaviours that support our environmental objectives.
- Setting and reviewing measurable objectives and targets
- We will establish environmental objectives and targets that reflect our operations, such as reducing paper use, maintaining low business travel levels, and improving energy efficiency. These will be monitored, reviewed and evaluated for effectiveness.
- Continual improvement
- We aim to continuously improve our environmental performance by reviewing environmental risks, performance data, audit results, and stakeholder expectations, and implementing corrective or improvement actions where required.
KRG is committed to reducing our environmental impact, ensuring resilience in the face of climate-related changes, and embedding sustainability into the way we work. Our aim is to ensure environmental efforts are systematic, effective and continually improving through implementation and monitoring of our Integrated Management System and the ISO 14001:2015 EMS framework.
