About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Council Agency to engage a Business Support Officer. This position is located in their busy Logan Central office for an initial contract until 30/10/2026.
About the Position
The Business Support Officer provides administrative support across learning and development activities, staff training programs, inductions, events and general branch operations. The role supports efficient coordination, scheduling, record management and stakeholder enquiries.
Duties
- Organise and schedule training courses with internal stakeholders and external providers
- Coordinate training calendars, venue bookings and participant registrations
- Maintain learning management system records, attendance data and training documentation
- Respond to learning and development enquiries and coordinate facilitators, dates and venues
- Troubleshoot issues relating to training delivery, venues, equipment and participants
- And other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements/Skills
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a busy environment
- Demonstrated experience using word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook, PowerPoint and databases
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions within established guidelines
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Experience assisting with planning and/or delivery of corporate events is highly regarded
- Experience using Finance One for purchase requisitions, orders and invoicing is desirable
