Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Lead SAP IT Security Advisor. This position is located in Canberra ACT for a 12-month contract with possible extension options.
  
About the Position
The Lead SAP IT Security Advisor is responsible for managing SAP security frameworks, access controls, authorisations, compliance activities, and security solutions. The role provides expert SAP security support, risk management, and guidance across SAP environments.

Duties

• Manage SAP security models, roles, authorisations, and workload prioritisation
• Provide day-to-day SAP security support, issue resolution, and escalation management
• Design, build, test, and implement SAP security solutions
• Conduct access reviews, risk assessments, and compliance activities
• Investigate and resolve SAP security issues with technical and business stakeholders
• Manage security-related audit activities and audit responses
• Develop and maintain security policies, processes, and authorisation frameworks
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen SAP security
• Support SAP implementation and enhancement projects with security expertise
• Provide guidance to Level 2 SAP Finance support teams
• Assist management and project teams with additional priorities as required

Requirements/Skills

• Demonstrated experience managing SAP security, user access management, role design, HCM user provisioning, and authorisation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of SAP security design, governance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), risk management, and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting SAP ECC 6 environments, system upgrades, and security-related projects
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders, ICT teams, vendors, and implementation partners
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including experience managing staff, contractors, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control and Identity Access Governance solutions highly regarded
• Knowledge of Australian Government security policies, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements highly regarded
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation and implementation programs highly regarded
• Understanding of finance business processes and controls within an SAP environment highly regarded
