About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government organisation to engage a Communications Officer. This position is located in Albion [QLD] for a contract through to 27 January 2027 with a possibility of extension.

About the Position
The role is responsible for delivering media, communications and stakeholder engagement activities, including the development of communication materials across a range of platforms. The position supports internal and external communication outcomes through media, digital content and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Duties

• Create and deliver internal and external communication materials for a range of audiences
• Research, write, review and edit media releases, media responses and stakeholder communications
• Develop content for digital channels including social media, websites and publications
• Manage communication and design projects from concept through to final production
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements/Skills

• Strong writing, editing and communication skills
• Experience in media, communications and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Sound judgement, discretion and attention to detail, with experience using digital communication platforms highly regarded
