Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Senior Estimator. This position is located in their busy Adelaide SA office for initial 12-month contract.

  
About the Position
Provide comprehensive cost estimating, cost analysis, cost modelling and benchmarking services to support the successful delivery of outcomes for our customers across the departments operating, maintenance and capital intervention programs and projects.

Duties

• Implement and lead a collaborative approach to continuous improvement in estimation, analysis and bench marking.
• Preparation of cost estimates for capital work programs and projects, that will be used to inform early planning investment decisions.
• Facilitation and preparation of Opportunity and Risk cost impact analysis for inclusion in the estimate.
• Where workload requires engagement of external estimating consultants, manage, coordinate and monitor their work performance to ensure their outputs are accurate and comply with our requirements.
• Evaluation of contractor tender costs and provide structure for contractors to supply cost data for internal modelling and benchmarking.
• Support the analysis of project costs at completion to enable reporting of the savings target contribution against approved FFA’s.

Requirements/Skills

• A Technicians certificate or Engineering qualification or equivalent/Associate Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in estimating and analysis of actual costs.
• Ability to interpret general engineering drawings.
• An understanding of cost management and the use of financial management systems.
