About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an PS6 Workforce Forecaster. This position can be located in any major city for an initial 6-month contract.
  
About the Position
The APS6 Workforce Forecaster will work within the Workforce Management Group. The role involves analysing workload data, developing and reviewing forecasting models, and providing actionable insights to support workforce planning and resource deployment.

Duties

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to build, test, and review workload forecasting models.
  • Review and enhance existing forecasting models for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead forecast validation processes and recommend adjustments.
  • Interpret business requirements to create fit-for-purpose forecasts.
  • Gather and analyse complex data using SQL, R, and Power BI.
  • Mentor team members and document methods and processes.
  • Drive problem-solving and decision-making processes related to workload forecasting.

Requirements/Skills

  • Proven data analysis and workload forecasting experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under pressure.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and resilient.
  • Strong SQL and Power BI skills, including DAX formulas.
  • Experience in understanding business processes and
  • Experience converting data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of biosecurity operations is a plus.
  • Australian citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance required.
