Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Commercial Manager. This position is located in their busy Parramatta NSW office for an initial 12-month contract.
  
About the Position
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing high-quality services in the commercial, financial, transactional, and governance aspects of the agency’s commercial arrangements. This role supports property renewal programs and other complex projects, ensuring coordination, efficiency, and standardization across various initiatives. The position focuses on developing strategies for procurement, managing property transactions, and mitigating risks through strategic advice and stakeholder engagement.

Duties

• Provide strategic advice on commercial, financial, procurement strategy, and deal structures for projects and transactions.
• Manage complex property transactions and project procurements, ensuring consistency with organizational objectives.
• Prepare procurement strategies and collaborate with other divisions on procurement and evaluation documents.
• Undertake transaction management tasks and manage external consultants and probity advisors.
• Develop and implement best practice solutions for complex commercial, financial, and legal issues.
• Contribute to program consistency and alignment through expert advice and guidance.

Requirements/Skills

• Experience in property and development transactions.
• Knowledge of best practices in strategic procurement, financing, approvals, and implementation.
• Experience in tendering, procurement, and transaction management, including tender evaluation.
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
