About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 and APS6 Project Officer. This position is located in either their busy Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane office for an initial 12 month contract with a possible 12 months extension option.
  
About the Positions
The primary focus of the role is to support the implementation of priority actions and to the coordination and delivery of project milestones within their Aged Care standard related projects or Digital Health initiatives. You will be coordinating engagement with external and internal stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Duties

  • Provide professional and policy advice within an area of specialisation
  • Develop plans and objectives for short-term tasks 
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at a high level whilst building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Have accountability for tasks and decisions and supporting less experienced employees whilst promoting a collaborative and positive working environment
  • Assisting agency procurement, contracts and finance at an APS6 level


Requirements/Skills

  • Must be an Australian citizen – must be able to obtain/maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Officer in large organisation at APS6 level
  • Ability to coordinate webinars, meetings and workshops with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of health or digital health projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management qualifications or relevant work experience desirable
