About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Project Officer. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office (hybrid possibilities) for an initial contract until 30 January 2026.
  
About the Position
The role will be joining a division of the department working on one of the largest and most successful climate change and sustainability initiatives in Australia and arguably the most impactful of its kind anywhere globally.

The division is responsible for measuring the environmental performance of Australian buildings and measure the energy efficiency, water usage, waste management and indoor environment quality of buildings.

Duties

• Assisting stakeholders throughout their rating process while building and maintaining great relationships
• Auditing submitted rating to ensure accuracy
• Ability to plan and react to new information, prioritise and problem solve
• Confidence in engaging an audience, listening and understanding stakeholders needs
• Perform research and analyse the results
• Collaborating with the team and communicating results clearly

Requirements/Skills

• Background in sustainable building design and development, construction materials, lifecycle analysis or similar
• Experience with both LCA and building design and materials is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
