About the Company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Program Data Analyst. This position can be located in their busy Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, or Adelaide office for an initial contract until 06/08/2025, with the potential for extension.
About the Position
The EL1 Program Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based strategic advice on industry innovation, science, and research. This position involves sourcing, cleaning, and analysing internal and external data to support policy development, enhancing industry competitiveness, and informing strategic decision-making. The role will also include collaboration with external contractors to develop and strengthen the team’s data analysis capabilities.
Duties
- Collaborate with policy analysts to produce evidence-based reports and strategic insights.
- Develop policy recommendations to enhance industry innovation and competitiveness.
- Engage with stakeholders from government, industry, and academia.
- Source, clean, and analyse data from key sources such as ABS and BLADE.
- Ensure data integrity and produce high-quality analyses for strategic projects and program oversight.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, integrating data insights with policy analysis.
- Build strong relationships with external partners and contribute to discussions at departmental and ministerial levels.
Requirements/Skills
- Proven experience in data analysis and policy development.
- Familiarity with data sources such as ABS, BLADE, and other business or administrative data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Australian Citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance required.
