About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an HR Officer/Coordinator. This position is located in their busy  multiple location for an initial 4-6 Month Contract with possible extension.
  
About the Position
The People Performance and Culture (PPC) team is dedicated to supporting the company to achieve its people and performance goals and organisational objectives. We do this through the delivery of a wide range of services that support our employees to deliver their best possible performance every single day. Our team members are professional, honest and ethical. Team members work across multi-disciplinary areas of HR to service our customer’s needs.

Duties

  1. General PPC Team administrative support across employee lifecycle
  2. Review Current Policies: Assess existing policies and procedures to identify areas that need updating or improvement.
  3. Gather Feedback: Collect input from stakeholders to understand any concerns and suggestions for policy/procedures.
  4. Research Best Practices: Look into industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance and relevance.
  5. Draft Revisions: Create updated versions of the policies and procedures, incorporating feedback and research findings.
  6. Legal and Risk Review: Have the revised policies reviewed by legal and risk experts (internally or externally) to ensure they comply with current laws and regulations.
  7. Approval Process: Project manage the new documents through company processes for document approvals.
  8. Communicate Changes: Draft communication resources about the changes for meetings, emails, or training sessions.
  9.  Update Documentation: Ensure all HR documents, employee handbooks, and internal systems reflect the new policies, procedures and guidelines.

Requirements/Skills 

  • Ideally previous Government experience to understand the nuisances that come with Policy, Procedure, frameworks and governance
  • Generalist HR background
  • Strives for excellence and continuous improvement and remains informed of responsibilities as an employee and behaves accordingly.
  • Behaves in a professional, honest, constructive and ethical way.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholder through both written and verbal communication.
