Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Office Manager. This position is located in their busy Melbourne office for an initial 3–6-month contract with the strong possibility of extension and transition to permanency.
About the Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Office Manager (APS6) to join their team on a contract basis, with a high potential for extension and permanent placement. This role is based in Melbourne and requires full-time on-site work. You will play a key role in ensuring that registry and office environments are fit for purpose, supporting both operational and strategic goals.
Duties
- Provide advice and guidance on office operations, accommodation, property, facilities, and asset management.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks, workplace safety procedures, and risk management policies.
- Coordinate and project manage office fit-outs, refurbishments, and special events.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and building management.
- Oversee workplace adherence to policies and procedures, ensuring a user-friendly and safe environment.
- Occasional out of hours contact is required to manage urgent building issues (an allowance is available)
Requirements/Skills
- Strong knowledge of property, facility, risk, and asset management.
- Proven leadership in managing office environments,
- Experience with security measures, and emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities,
- Comfortable with handling competing priorities.
