Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Financial Analyst. This position is located in their busy Paramatta NSW office for an initial contract starting ASAP until 30/07/2025 with possible extension. 
  
About the Position
The Financial Analyst will provide financial support for a key government program, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and budget analysis. The role involves working closely with project managers and senior financial analysts to drive financial transparency and compliance.

Duties

• Develop and maintain financial models for program reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in line with government financial systems.
• Monitor and track project expenditures, grant funding, and capital expenses.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting and efficiency.

Requirements/Skills

• CA or CPA certification (mandatory).
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
• Experience working with large-scale programs, preferably in government.
• Understanding of GST implications, grant acquittals, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
