Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS5 Project Coordinator. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until 12/04/2026, with possible extensions.
About the Position
The APS5 Project Coordinator will provide support to the Project Manager in coordinating activities related to the successful delivery of projects. The role involves assisting with scheduling, risk management, project documentation, and ensuring compliance with governance processes. The position is suitable for individuals with strong project coordination experience and excellent communication skills.
Duties
- Support the Project Manager in the delivery of projects within the Facilities and Security Services Section.
- Coordinate project documentation, including risk and issue registers, change control, and action registers.
- Assist with scheduling, status reporting, and tracking project deliverables.
- Provide support for project assurance activities and maintain project repositories.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are clearly documented and managed.
Requirements/Skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance is required.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, including documentation management and risk management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with direction from the Project Manager.
