About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Test Lead, Performance Test Lead and Performance Tester. These positions are located in their busy Canberra or Brisbane office for an initial contract until May 2026.
  
About the Position
The roles would see you joining the department’s Digital Identity Services portfolio which develops, maintains and supports the department’s critical identity, authentication and authorisation applications. 

As a Test Lead you would:

• Contribute towards defining a Test Automation framework and the automation of manual testing tasks 
• Apply sound technical understanding of relevant automated test tools and related technologies (eg. Selemium, Appium, Specflow and automation framework)
• Apply practical programming experience using .Net (preferably C#), SQL, XML and package management (eg. nuget, npm etc) and experience with Github repository management 

As a Performance Test Lead you would:

• Provide leadership and direction to others and manage and report on individual and overall team performance
• Develop performance test strategies and plans to meet application performance testing requirements and test project phase
• Identify and report on technical issues or risks and collaborate on their resolution

As a Performance Tester you would:

• Have performance testing experience across multiple platforms architectures and technologies
• Plan and manage performance testing of applications before release into production
• Experience using performance testing and monitoring tools, such as Jmeter (Mandatory), Load Runner (Preferable) App Dynamics/Cloudwatch
• Coding knowledge and experience in languages such as Java and C#
