About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a not-for-profit company to engage an IT Specialist. This position is located in their busy Oxley and Inala offices for an initial contract until 30 June 2025.
  
About the Position
The IT Specialist provides hands-on assistance across both technology functions to ensure smooth daily operations within the organisation. This position is designed to support the delivery, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems, managing digital tools, data entry, systems maintenance, and technical support.

Duties

• Provide prompt, first-level support to staff by addressing day-to-day technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting of devices, applications, and connectivity problems to ensure minimal disruption to operations
• Assist in monitoring IT systems and report irregularities or emerging issues to relevant team members.
• Execute routine system maintenance tasks such as software updates, backups, and performance checks to support system reliability.
• Contribute to IT-related projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure, streamlining workflows, or introducing new tools.

Requirements/Skills

• Understanding of common computer systems, hardware, software and troubleshooting enquiries 
• Logical approach to diagnosing and resolving basic technical or administrative issues
• Ability to assist users with simple IT issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately
• Valid driver’s licence and first aid certificate
• Ability to obtain blue card
