About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage Project professionals across EL1, APS6, and APS5 levels. 

These positions can be located in any capital city for an initial 12-month contract. 
  
About the Positions
These project roles form part of a high-performing delivery team using best-practice frameworks to support strategic planning, operational execution, and business improvement. All roles involve stakeholder collaboration, reporting, and contributing to quality outcomes — with increasing responsibility as classification level increases.

EL1 – Project Manager Lead projects with organisation-wide impact. Oversee planning, budgets, risk, and team performance. Provide strategic guidance, stakeholder management, and ensure deliverables align with broader agency objectives.

APS6 – Senior Project Officer Manage and deliver straightforward projects under limited guidance. Lead reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to team planning and mentor junior staff.

APS5 – Project Officer Support project coordination and delivery. Assist with research, reporting, budget monitoring, and procurement. Work closely with team members and stakeholders to help ensure consistent delivery of project outputs.

Duties

  • Coordinate and deliver projects in line with agency frameworks
  • Prepare and contribute to project documentation and reports
  • Monitor budgets, risks, and schedules
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and support change initiatives
  • Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement

Requirements/Skills

  • Knowledge of project and program management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBoK, Agile)
  • Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience using reporting tools, templates, and governance processes
  • Baseline Security Clearance preferred (must be able to obtain)
