Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Concept Designer. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office for an initial 6-month contract.
  
About the Position

The Concept Designer will collaborate with senior design professionals and planning managers to support the strategic development of property assets. Responsibilities include conducting site and precinct analysis, contributing to master planning and feasibility assessments, and preparing design briefs for residential projects. The role involves applying contemporary architectural practices to optimise project outcomes, ensuring the delivery of sustainable, well-designed housing that meets user needs and enhances the surrounding community.

Duties

• Support Senior Concept Designers in precinct analysis
• Provide strategic advice and innovative design solutions during feasibility stages
• Prepare briefing documents to ensure continuity between feasibility and design development
• Research and document emerging issues in construction and design
• Collaborate with strategic planners and manage expectations
• Assist in procurement and coordination of external suppliers and stakeholders
• Apply and improve risk management approaches in design processes

Requirements/Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture
• Eligibility for membership in a relevant industry association
• White card and Driver’s License preferred
• Ability to travel locally and regionally as required
• Cleared Police Check (within 6 months or arranged upon offer)
