Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage a Data Integration / Analytics Engineer. This position is located in their busy Belconnen, ACT office for an initial 12‑month contract with possible 24‑month extensions.

  
About the Position
The Data Integration / Analytics Engineer will unlock the business value of data by managing, transforming, and operationalising data to meet analytics requirements. The role involves developing and sustaining data transformations, creating data pipelines, and supporting end‑to‑end data management processes using enterprise platforms such as Palantir Gotham and Foundry.
Duties

  • Manage iteration, review, and maintenance of data requirements and models.
  • Set standards for data modelling and design tools and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance on database and data warehouse architectures.
  • Investigate enterprise data requirements based on analytic use cases.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines connecting data across systems.
  • Collaborate with technology specialists, security professionals, and external partners.


Requirements/Skills

  • Australian Citizenship and must have PV or TS‑PA clearance.
  • 5+ years of relevant data integration/analytics engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, and data pipeline platforms (e.g., MS‑SSIS, Informatica, Apache Kafka).
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, architecture, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Apache Spark).
  • Highly desirable: CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker), Jira, and Palantir products
