Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Department to engage a Safety Partner. This position is located at their Sydney Olympic Park office for an initial contract until 26/04/2026, with possible extension.

The agency is currently undergoing a period of growth and organisational transformation, with a strong focus on strengthening its Work Health and Safety framework across the organisation.
  
About the Position
The Safety Partner provides high-level Work Health and Safety advice and support across the organisation. Working closely with leaders, managers, and project teams, this role contributes to the delivery of strategic safety initiatives, supports continuous improvement, and builds WHS capability across operational and corporate environments.

The role will support key initiatives including the rollout of a new safety strategy, implementation of a new Safety Management System aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 45003, delivery of a risk and critical control framework, and targeted programs addressing key operational risks.

Duties

  • Provide WHS advice and guidance to managers, business units, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of organisational WHS programs, initiatives, and projects.
  • Coach leaders on WHS responsibilities, systems, and safe work practices.
  • Contribute to risk identification, control, and monitoring activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements/Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in a Work Health and Safety advisory or partnering role.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, systems, and contemporary practices.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in complex or operational environments.
  • Government or large organisation experience is desirable.
