Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with an NSW State Government Agency to engage a Microsoft Word Template Designer. This position is located in their busy Sydney office for an initial 6 month contract with possible extension opportunities.

  
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Word and Power Platform specialist to design and build document and letter templates used by business users. This role will own the end‑to‑end development of templates within a custom template design tool—covering requirements gathering, template design, development, data‑mapping, testing, documentation, and handover—ensuring solutions are secure, robust, and easy for business users to operate.

Duties

  • Design and develop Microsoft Word templates integrated with CRM systems
  • Build and maintain guided forms to capture user input
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure templates comply with corporate branding and formatting standards
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot templates for accuracy and reliability
  • Prepare user documentation and provide handover/training to end users
  • Manage template version control and deployment across environments

Requirements/Skills

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Word template development (content controls, fields, styles, building blocks)
  • Advanced knowledge of document formatting, layout, and brand‑compliant outputs (PDF‑ready)
  • Ability to create guided forms, validate inputs, and manage document logic
  • Experience with template governance, testing practices, and deployment processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
